MEDISOLV WILL EXHIBIT AT THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL MUSE CONFERENCE

Medisolv, Inc. the market leader in Business Intelligence and Clinical Decision Support Solutions for hospitals and healthcare systems announces that it will exhibit at the 2006 International MUSE Conference in Orlando, Florida during May 30th – June 2nd.

Along with its booth exhibit, Medisolv’s President/CEO, Dr. Zahid Butt will present two educational sessions during the 2006 MUSE conference.

The first educational workshop (Performance Indicators and Balanced Scorecards) will be held Tuesday, May 30th at 9:30am – 12:00pm. Since its first introduction by Kaplan and Norton in 1996, a majority of fortune 1,000 corporations have embraced the concept of Balanced Scorecards as a key performance improvement tool. Many hospitals and health systems have adopted this model often with local modifications in their pursuit of excellence. This timely workshop will review the history, basic concepts and adaptations of the Balanced Scorecard in a hospital setting. Clinical and Financial indicators suitable for the score card will be reviewed. Tools and techniques including digital dashboards to implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) will be discussed. This workshop is appropriate for senior executive management, physician leadership, directors and managers from Care Management, nursing, Quality Improvement, Clinical Analysts, and planning departments.

The second educational session (Hospital Reports Cards and Pay for Performance in 2006) will be held Thursday, June 1st at 3:30pm. A number of public and private entities have created “report cards” in an attempt to compare quality of care across different hospitals. Administrative or claims data is used in most cases to generate clinical outcomes indicators. Wide spread consumer use has not occurred however many large payers have expressed interest in adjusting payments to match performance. This educational session will review the current status of hospital report cards, the types of clinical outcomes used to create them and some of the key steps hospitals can take to ensure a good grade.

Medisolv will be located at booth number 724 and will provide demonstrations of its clinical decision support solution - RAPID and its performance management system - IndiGo.
