OLAP Cubes provide a multidimensional view of aggregate data so that hospital staff can do trending analysis and look at information from many different dimensions. While our standard views are ideal for generating the same reports repeatedly, cubes are ideal for analyzing what is happening over time. Our OLAP cubes are uniquely designed to allow users this ability by simply dragging and dropping various fields of interest.

In this example a user is looking at Micro Organism sensitivity to antibiotics.



Should the user now want to view Micro Organism Sensitivity for the Emergency Department, they can filter to look at only that department:



By dragging the Micro Organism field to the top, the user can then filter on one or more organisms. In this example we have chosen Staph Aureus:



And the user can then further filter by adding a time dimension from the field list:



Each of RAPID's OLAP Cubes provides a graphing capability which in the case below will show side by side comparisons of antibiotic sensitive and resistant cases of Staph Aureus:



Once you have manipulated a cube to get the result you are looking for, you may export it as an Excel Pivot Table and can choose whether or not to let it update with current data from RAPID every time you open. This export is a complete export of the cube and can be further manipulated in Excel:
